Traditional Woodworking……just funner
I started woodworking to build scale models. After many years building models and toys, I began looking at furniture with the same eye. I still wanted it to be fun, engaging, and not necessarily something you’ve seen before.
I have lots of inspirations for what I build, Including classic and modern furniture designers, but maybe an odd choice is the early 70’s Warner Brothers cartoons by Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng.
When I see Mid Century Modern design, it just about makes me laugh, in a very good way. MCM furniture reminds me of the whimsical cartoon sets and background designs I grew up watching on Saturday mornings with my brother.
